Jim Whitmore and daughter, Mrs. Fred Rice left for Idaho Tuesday where they will visit friends and relatives. When they return Mr. Whitmore's mother will come back them. An eight grades at the Water? loo school had a Hallowe'en party Monday.

At the first and second grade party Mrs. Wiens and small daughter attended. Some of the children wore masks. They spent the afternoon making masks. Mrs.

Larson, a former teacher of Waterloo, came -as a masked Chinese. After an afternoon of games, refreshments were served. The fifth and sixth grade also had a party and refreshments. Two prizes were given in the seventh and eighth grade room. The prize for the best costume went to Jimmy Whitmore, and Donnie Swanson received the prize for the costume.

The afternoon was spent by playing games: Just before getting ready to go home the refreshment. committee served sandwiches, pumpkin pie, and pop. Halloween night a window in the school house was broken out and other minor damage was done to the school property. Tuesday the seventh and eighth had a room meeting at which they elected room officers. LaurHen Headley conducted the meeting.

Officers elected were president, Hellen Felton; vice-president, Loretta. Felton; secretary, Dale Spencer: assistant secretary, Jimmy Whitmore; hall monitor, Peggy Hodges, and librarian, Sally Guinn. P.T.A. meeting was held at the school house. Tuesday.
