She survives. Other survivors Include three daughters, Cheryl Stapleron of Brownsville, Machell Ryan of Bullhead City, Arlx. and Linda Stapleton; two sons, Don Stapleton and Bob Stapleton, both of Big Piney, and six grandchildren. Huston funeral Home is handling arrangements. before returning to Lebanon In 1994.

She preceded him in death in January 1992. He was an outdoors-oriented person who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He Is survived by three step-sons, Dick Man of Scio and Jerry Vian and Marvin Vian, both of Salem; a brother, Jim Murphy of Lebanon; a sister, Mary Pietrok of Stayton; four step-grandchildren, one step-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded In death by a sister, Anna Pape, and two brothers, John Murphy and Charlie Murphy. Huston Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Oma Hauck Toner Oma G. Hauck Toner, 94, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Villa Cascade Care Center. A memorial service was held Monday, Dec. 9 at the Lebanon First Christian Church with Pastor Max Glenn officiating.

Private family burial will be at the F. Cemetery. She was bom June 13, 1902 Jn Petuskie, Okla. to Henry and Olive 1941. Her husband preceded her In death on Sept.

14, 1959. She married John Toner on Dec. 26, 1 964 In Reno, Nev. They have lived in Lebanon since then. She had been a homemaker all her life.

She was a member of the Lebanon First Christian Church, the Pearl Rebckah Lodge 147, Royal Neighbors, the Hamblin Club, the Pinochle Club and the Garden Club. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, embroidery, traveling and especially Christian Church and sent in care of Huston Funeral Home. Raymond Lee Stapleton Raymond Lee Stapleton, 60, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec, at his home. No services are planned. 9 at Huston funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Dec. 10 at St. Edwards Catholic Church In Lebanon with Father Kevin O'Conor officiating. Burial followed at the lacomb Cemetery.

She was born June 4, 1948 in Salem to Arthur and Agnes (Lebold) Arnold. She was raised Salem and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1966. On Dec. 10, 1966, she married Dennis Foster in Salem. The couple lived in Salem for one year prior to moving to Lebanon.

moved to their Scio home in 1977 from Lebanon and have lived there since. She was an active member of the St Bernard Catholic Church in Scio and the Lebanon Fire District Auxiliary, and had been a Red Cross volunteer. She enjoyed family activities and helping people. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Foster of Scio; two daughters, Kim Yordy of Meadowlands, Minn, and Marianne Clever of Lacomb; a son, Ken Foster of Scio; parents, Arthur and Agnes Arnold of Scio; two brothers, Larry Arnold of Lebanon and Steve Arnold of Sweet Home; a sister, Jan Lee of Salem and six grandchildren. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Dornbecker's Children Hospital and sent in care of Huston Funeral Home.

Nathan John Tuma Nathan John Tuma, 22, of LaPine, died December 6. Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Whispering Pines Baptist Church in LaPine with Keith Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at LaPine Cemetery. Tuma was born January 10, 1974 in Lebanon to Dave and Bonnie Jean Tuma.

He moved to LaPine six years ago, where he worked as a produce clerk. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had recently taken up rock hounding. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. Survivors include his son, Devin -John Tuma; his life companion, Shannon Picard; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Clay Jennings, and his father, Dave Tuma, all of LaPine; his maternal grandmother, Mabel Little, maternal grandparents, Maxine and Ernie Tuma, and uncle, Ernie Tuma, all of Lebanon; his aunt and uncle, Steve and Diane Simpson of Montana; and his stepsister, Sarah Heather Jennings of Texas. Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home of Bend is handling arrange- ments.

Bertha H. Samples Bertha H. Samples, 89, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Dec. 4 in Bellingham, Wash. A graveside service will be held today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m.

at the Lebanon I.O.O.F, Cemetery with Chaplain Byron Gingrich officiating. She was, born Sept. 21, 1907 in McCurtain, Okla. to Sylvester and Sara (Milligan) Horn. She was raised in Oklahoma and married Richard E.

Samples on June 1 2, 1 929 in Whitebur, Okla. The couple lived in Oklahoma until moving to California in 1948. They came to Lebanon from California in 1978. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1988 and she had lived in Lebanon before moving to Bellingham, Wash, earlier this month to be with her son.

She had been a homemaker and enjoyed playing dominoes. She was baptized in the Holliness Church in 1936 and had kept her faith in Cod until the end. She is survived by her son, Richard Samples of Bellingham, a daughter, Norfrja D'Anca of Palm Springs, six grandchil BAKERY DEPT. Murphy Jesse H. Murphy 88, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Lebanon Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 7 at Huston Funeral Home with Rev.

Marie Green officiating. Private burial will be at City View Cemetery in Salem. He was born July 5, 1908 in Scammon, to John and Anna Wade) Murphy. He moved with his family to Colorado when he was a child. In March 1927, the Murphy's moved to Lebanon where he worked for family in the logging industry.

He served in the US Army during World War II. After his discharge he returned to Lebanon. In the 19S0's, he began working for the Stayton Canning Co. and was employed there until his retirementin 1973. Following his marriage to Gladys Vian in October 1963, he lived in Shaw and later in Salem hwy.
